Land under the yellow shade
adorned with simplicity
almond shaded evening on the
mud-cemented huts
floor of concrete
man in turban at the door
women engrossed with coal
children playing with sticks
plants growing over the bricks
black soak of chimney smog
unaware
of the
breathing sinking ground.
Calm it was, calm and serene
as silence awaiting storm.
