A sound is knocking next door
Like an engine throbbing
Emitting shades of vapor
Fogging my eyes.
But there is no water.
Someone’s dead and alive yet.
Lup-dub lup-dup it sings in me
As if tolling the evening bell.
He is calling me,
I cannot hear.
He is walking beside
I cannot see.
A voice has arisen vapor like
It speaks through me.
Yet I say,
It’s not me!
It’s not me!
